- Authentic narrations (Tirmidhi 2891, 2892, 2898; Abu Dawud; Nasa'i) associate it with intercession and protection from grave punishment.
- The Prophet ﷺ did not sleep until he recited Surah As-Sajdah and Surah Al-Mulk (Tirmidhi 2892).
